The company "Adnok" announced that 40 graduates have been trained and prepared for work in the field of trading on global energy markets. This took place from the moment the "Academy of Trading and Brokerage Activities of Adnok" was established in 2020. Currently, these people work in the companies "Adnok for Global Trading" and "Adnok Trading", which are part of the Adnok program for training specialists from among local residents in this important sector.
"Adnok" disclosed information that the fourth group of Emirati interns was accepted into the Academy to prepare them for work in "Adnok for Global Trading" and "Adnok Trading". These companies, founded in 2020, have achieved significant growth and development, becoming part of global companies engaged in trading processed products and global crude oil.
According to a representative of "Adnok", the number of specialists in the field of trading and brokerage activities increased from five people in 2019 to more than 400 people currently. Companies adopt a proactive approach to trading products "Adnok" with the aim of achieving maximum value, providing services in cargo management, health management for risk management, and cargo transfers using "Adnok Supply and Services" vessels.
Following the adoption of the new group of interns, an event was organized in the offices of "Adnok for Global Trading", which gathered in itself the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, the implementing director of "Adnok" and its subsidiary companies, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaberi, Minister of Education Sarah Al-Amiri, and also leaders of various sectors in education, local personnel, and resources.
Al-Jaberi emphasized: "According to the vision of the inspiring leadership for the maximization of the use of national resources, the activities of "Adnok" in the field of trading and brokerage activities through the companies "Adnok Trading" and "Adnok for Global Trading" contributed to a qualitative shift in services provided by "Adnok", expanding the circle of contractors and increasing the value from its activities, creating new opportunities for growth and development".
The company "Adnok" highlights its desire to invest in the development of young Emirati specialists to strengthen their role and integrate into strategic sectors. Ahmed Bin Thaklit, the implementing director of "Adnok for Global Trading", stated at a press conference yesterday that "the Academy of Trading and Brokerage Activities of Adnok" is focused on training and preparation for Emiratis with qualifications in international trading.
He noted that the Academy provides interns with a dual intensive program, including observations, practical skills, simulation programs, and market analysis in real-time for preparing them to the requirements of global markets. The total number of working citizens in the companies amounts to about 120 with a workforce indicator of 38%.
He also noted a significant increase in the volume of deals at the company, where the total volume of deals reached about 850 thousand deals at the beginning of 2024, compared to 50 deals in 2020, noting that investment in the company "Adnok" increased 17 times over the past four years. "Adnok" established "Adnok Trading" and "Adnok for Global Trading" in 2020 with the aim of increasing the value of its activities through trading and brokerage operations, and the companies have become global companies in trading over four years.
